Meet Dr. Geoffrey A. Lundy

Dr. Geoffrey A. Lundy is a physician, educator, and author whose distinguished medical career spans decades of clinical practice, teaching, and leadership.

Dr. Lundy earned his bachelor’s degree in physics from Colgate University before receiving his M.D. from Tufts University School of Medicine, where he graduated as a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society.

Following medical school, he completed two years of surgical residency at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Boston before completing his internal medicine residency at Mount Auburn Hospital in Cambridge, Massachusetts. He remained on staff at Mount Auburn Hospital for two years before joining a group practice and serving as an instructor of medicine at Harvard Medical School.

In 1997, Dr. Lundy relocated to New Hampshire. In January 2008, he joined the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Clinic, where he served as Department Chair for the Adult Primary Care Department. He also served as a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine at the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth.

Throughout his career, Dr. Lundy has experienced medicine from multiple perspectives—as a physician, educator, administrator, and advocate for patient care. That experience provides an important foundation for his writing, allowing him to explore the human realities and complex questions surrounding healthcare.

Today, Dr. Lundy lives in Cape Coral, Florida, with his husband, Thom, and their two pugs, Saffron and Piper.

His transition from medicine to fiction allows him to combine professional experience with imagination, creating stories that explore the intersection of medicine, ethics, relationships, and the forces that shape people’s lives.
